Meet the Lioness

Welcome to Lioness Aromatics! My name is Leanne Shafner, and I’m the Lioness behind it all—a proud Leo woman who loves the earth & herbs. Thank you for stopping by and taking the time to read my story.

Lioness Aromatics was inspired by my lifelong connection to plants, rooted in childhood memories learning about gardens & trees from my grandmother and Mom always filling our home with fun houseplants.

In my 30s, I began exploring ways to enhance my health and wellness, which led me to discover the transformative power of essential oils. I visited a neighbor’s house one day and was welcomed with the captivating aroma in the air. I couldn’t help but ask, “What is that smell.” “It’s my essential oil diffuser.”, she said. I instantly ordered my own oils the next day and was hooked.

That one impactful moment changed my life by sparking a 12-year journey into plant medicine, natural wellness, and creating chemical-free products.  Interestingly, I was even told that I was a woodland healer in a past life. Even if this is untrue, it feels like a perfect explanation for my deep-rooted passion for nature and its healing power.

For over a decade, I’ve embraced a holistic, chemical-free, herb-infused lifestyle, combining personal exploration & education with formal training.  Some of the professional instructions I’ve received are outlined below:

• Holistic Health & Personal Development Coach – Integrative Institute of Nutrition, 2021

It has become important to me to inspire other women to embrace a life more connected to themselves, guided by nature, green living, self-care, and herb-inspired wellness.  Lioness Aromatics offers earth & environment-friendly, plant-based products that nurture the body, mind, and spirit. I offer in-person workshops, training, and a supportive community, through my women’s wellness platform Project We Society, a community for women to embrace personal development & connection with like-minded others.
